On May 13, the Dzongkhag Tender Committe Chair (Dzongdag), along with the DTC members, visited the construction sites for the Nobding School Science Lab and the Bajo Water Supply System in Nobding and Gemjana.
It’s inspiring to see the Nobding School Science Lab taking shape, promising a better learning environment for our students with ample space, safety features, and essential scientific equipment.
Meanwhile, significant strides are being made on the Bajo Water Supply System. This vital project, initiated with a Nu 10 million allocation for the 2024-2025 fiscal year (out of a total Nu 160 million), aims to finally resolve the decade-long drinking water shortage in Bajo town. The new water source at Wakashong in Bjena Gewog will provide safe and reliable drinking water, ending the reliance on the contaminated Baychhu stream, especially during critical summer and rainy seasons.
The site visit confirmed that both projects are progressing well and maintaining the agreed-upon quality standards.
