Uma community primary school is under Daga gewog, wangduephodrang dzongkhag. It is on the thimphu- tsirang highway. It is 35 kms away from the dzongkhag. From the highway the school is connented with farmrood which is 11 kms uphill. The school was established with the free labour comtibution from the people of uma (khatey and khamey Chewogs). The school was formally opened in the year 1991. With around 52 students was run by the first headteacher Mr. Wangchuk. The students of the school come from the village of uma that consist of 49 households and the community. Five years later Mr. Lham Tshering became the head of the school. It was during his tenure that the school saw it’s classes increase to four. In the year 1999, the school got the budget for the construction staff quarter. Mr. Kinlay Penjor took over the charge of the school as the teacher incharge. Then Mr. Tshering Wangdi joined the school as the 3rd headteacher and upgraded to primary level. So the school became the full-fledged primary school from 2005 acadamic year. The construction such as new acadamic block, administrative blook and headteacher’s quarter. In the year 2006 Mr. Dunganat took over the charges of the school. During his stay the school connected with the independent clean water source.In the year 2016. Mr. Kuenley Tshering tookover the school with 90 students and five teachers. The school vision and mission were all documented. The school policy guideline was published. In the mid of 2016, the administration block roofing was changed. In 2017, the school acadamic blocks was renovated and the one unit classroom was newly constructed
