Khotokha Primary school lies at the border of two gewogs Bjena and Rubesa in wangdue Dzongkhag. The school has a child friendly environment with total area of 15.57 acres of vast plain and verdant land and is provided with WFP breakfast and lunch.The closest national highway is at Tikeyzampa, 13 km away from Wangdue and on the Wangdue-Trongsa highway. The way to the school routes through the main Bjena village, routed by a farm road of 26 km till the school. The school was established in the year 1992 in a temporary shed in the vicinity of Jangsa Dzong with 146 students and two regular teachers. Later towards the end of the year the school was shifted to the new buildings constructed by the people of the two gewogs, Bjena and Rubesa in the present location.
