The Annual Black-Necked Crane Festival (BNCF) will be celebrated at the courtyard of Gangtey Goenpa from 10th to 11th November, 2019 to commemorate the birth anniversary of His Majesty the 4th King.
The Festival is aimed to promote local economy through conservation of Black-necked Crane and its habitat and to generate awareness and understanding on the importance of conserving the birds and environment. The festival is an excellent platform to create conservation awareness on Black-necked Cranes to local, national and international participants.
The Dzongkhag Administration has vision to make the BNC festival a success and sustainable program to help community conserve the habitat of the black-necked crane and also preserve the festival for the livelihood of the people of Gangtey and Phobji Gewogs.
Therefore, everyone is invited to witness the festival from 10th to 11th November, 2019.
