Gaselo Central School was established in the year 2004 as a Middle Secondary School. Subsequently, in few years of its inception, the school was upgraded to higher Secondary School in the year 2009 due to growing number of feeder schools from the catchment areas. It is located in the heart of Gasetshogom and Gasetshowom Gewogs and lies on the hill overlooking the Punatsangchu River. It is located about 20 kilometers from the Dzongkhag headquarter and perfectly suited for sound education as it is away from the noisy and chaotic town dwellers. Currently, it has classes ranging from PP-XII offering all streams in XI and XII. With the school being instituted as Central School starting 2016 academic session, the school has a total of 1016 students. With the increasing number of students every year, the one block with eight unit classrooms and 240 bedded girls hostel and eight units staff quarters are under steady progress, which would benefit the future generations who aspire to learn in a such a sound institution.
