Dasho Dzongdag conferred the Royal Civil Service Award 2017 to 63 civil servants and Service Pins to 118 De-suups at Dzongkhag Tshogdu Hall of Dzongkhag Administration, Wangdue Phodrang on 15th December 2017.
Out of 63 officials, 50 received Bronze Medal, 8 received Silver Medal and 5 received Gold Medal respectively for 10 years, 20 years, and 30 years and above dedicated service to the Tsa-wa-Sum.
Dasho Dzongdag addressing the Award Ceremony stated that the Award Ceremony initiated by the government at the command of His Majesty the King signifies the recognition of dedicated contribution and unwavering hard work of all the recipients. Dasho congratulated each of them by awarding the medal and the certificate.
Coinciding the Royal Civil Service Award, Dasho also conferred Service Pins to 118 De-suups of Wangdue Phodrang Dzongkhag for actively contributing their sincere service to the Nation during natural calamities, national/public events, and religious discourse in the nation. These Pins are awarded to instill a feeling of pride and enhance the spirit of volunteerism among the De-suups. The Service Pins are representation and appreciation from His Majesty the King for the sincere and dedicated service of a De-suup. The Pin should be worn on the De-suup uniform to showcase their voluntary services to the Nation.
